The Attleboro Arts Museum’s Benefit Art Auction returns with an in-person Auction event on Saturday, November 5th.

To kick-off the Auction season, artists, collectors and organizations are asked to support the Museum by donating framed or gallery-finished original art of any size, handmade accessories, and objects created for the home. Donations will be collected from August 9th – September 10th, 10am – 3pm.

Specialty items are also welcome. They may include art-making workshops, tickets to a cultural performance, gift certificates to a frame shop, once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and other unique offerings.  Donors can contribute either one or two items.

Collection period: August 9th – September 10th (We are unable to accept donations before or after these dates)

Each donation requires the completion of an online donation form.  Completing donation forms in advance of delivery is highly recommended. Preview the donation form content.

The online donation form is available HERE.

  • Access the online donation form HERE.
  • All donated Auction lots will be on view during our in-gallery exhibition and posted online for round-the-clock bidding.
  • Pieces that have been previously donated to any AAM Auction but did not sell, or were purchased at previous AAM auctions, will not be accepted.
  • Donations from a given artist are limited to two, whether the donations are directly from the artist or another donor.
  • Art with the following subject matter can be challenging to sell at auction: nudes, political commentary, and religious iconography. We are eager to have your generous donations appeal to a broad audience and generate bids, so please keep this advice in mind.
  • When selecting donations, note that all opening bids will round off to approximately 40% of the value. Although items can sell for a higher price, most pieces sell for under $500. If your donation is valued at $750 or more, we ask for you to select an opening bid amount that falls between $200-$300. We’ll advertise the actual value of your piece, but also state that you have graciously agreed to start the bidding at a reduced amount to benefit the Museum.

This is a special year for the Museum.  We’re able to welcome back our live Auction event – complete with all the excitement that audience participation and live bidding brings.  Auctioneer Chris Barber returns to lead the festivities.

Tickets to this event include hearty hors d’oeuvres from Russell Morin Fine Catering & Events with wine and beer provided by City Spirits. Doors open at 5pm; buffet served until 6:15pm; live auction starts at 6:30pm; bar closes when live auction bidding concludes (all visitors requesting bar service must present a valid photo ID). Each donor will receive one complimentary ticket to the Auction. Additional admission tickets are available for purchase beginning September 2022.

Proceeds from the Auction allow the Museum to offer a range of exhibitions, cultural programs, art classes, maintain our free gallery admission policy and deliver on our promise of Arts for Everyone.

Feel free to contact the Museum at 508-222-2644 x10 or office@attleboroartsmuseum.org with any questions.

Thank you for your support, generosity, and much appreciated partnership.
