Preview the Benefit Art Auction; Bid in Advance of the Auction Event

On Saturday, November 4th, 2017 the Attleboro Arts Museum presents its annual Benefit Art Auction, one of the Museum’s largest fundraisers of the year.  All proceeds from the Auction support the Museum’s community arts programs, exhibitions, operations, and Museum School art classes for all ages.

The Benefit Art Auction is a flagship event for the Museum.  This year, a record 228 donations of high quality art as well as specialty items will fill the Museum’s gallery, with bids starting at one-third the value of each piece. Guest auctioneer Chris Barber of Skinner, Inc. returns to the Museum and will be leading the live auction. Doors open at 5:00pm.

Companion Online Auction and Preview Exhibition – Bid Early!

Although the live/silent event is held on November 4th, the public can become acquainted with all of the auction items before the night of the Auction and bid in advance. Starting October 12th, one can view the work, get to know the artist or donor, and learn the inspiration behind each piece.  This can be done by visiting the Attleboro Arts Museum’s online auction website – or stopping by the Museum to see the actual items on display (Tuesday – Saturday, 10am – 5pm).

This advance viewing opportunity allows the Museum to create informed art buyers and to generate interest in all works long before they are on the Auction block. Advance bids can be placed online or in the Museum’s gallery through November 1st.  Proxy bidding is also available for those that are unable to attend the live/silent event.
