Youth/Teen Workshops  

AGES 8+: NEW!  3-D Explorations w/ Artist David Laferriere.  One-day workshop, Sat., March 3rd from 3-4:30 pm.   Create unique art that jumps into holographic 3-D when viewed using Chromadepth® 3-D glasses. Explore how colors react with one another to form a hologram.  As a special treat, students will receive a personal gallery tour with David of his amazing 3-D artwork in the Museum’s Community Gallery.  Costs:  $20 mem, $25 non-mem (materials included).

February Vacation Art Camp (ages 6-8)

February 21-24, 9am-3pm, Tues-Fri.

NOTE: Thursday’s art camp is full.  Please contact us regarding the remaining vacation days.

$43 per day mem,  $49 per day non-mem (supplies included). 

Minimum enrollment:  any 2 days.  Campers must bring a lunch, snack & drink.

ADULTS: Drop in Life Drawing Studio (Ages 18+)

Wed., Jan 18 – Mar 7 from 7-10 pm. 

Costs:  $10 mem, $15 non-members.  (Students bring their own materials).

This studio is only open to artists 18 years or older.

Adult Visiting Artist Workshops

NEW IN MARCH! Needle Felting Landscapes w/ Artist Lyn Slade.  One-day workshop:  Sat., March 10th from 1-5 pm.  Needle felting is hot right now, as a folk art, as an embellishment tool and as an art medium.  The basic method is so simple that you won’t believe it!  All levels (teachers, artists and novices) will take home a finished 8”x10” felted landscape.  Costs:  $45 mem, $55 non-mem, plus $20 materials fee

There are no refunds once payment is issued to the Attleboro Arts Museum (this includes missed or sick days).  There is a minimum enrollment for classes to run. If a class has met the minimum enrollment and still has space available, you can register right up until the class starts.  However, the class will be cancelled if less than the minimum number of students have registered by 3 days prior to the start date. There are no exceptions for the age requirements. Parents are not permitted to remain in the studios during art class time. This program is not part of, or endorsed by, the Attleboro Arts Museum’s local school districts.

 

 

Special Arts Experiences

ATTENTION ALL SCOUT TROOPS!

Earn your Artist Badge at the Attleboro Arts Museum. We will schedule a workshop covering all the necessary requirements for your group. Den leaders can call the Museum at 508.222.2644 x10, or send an email to office@attleboroartsmuseum.org for more details.  Costs: $7 per scout. Please note: workshops must take place during Museum business hours (Tues-Sat between 10-5 pm).

Create a Drawing & Painting Class for your Home-school Group

The Attleboro Arts Museum offers an art class designed for home-schoolers based on the work of famous artists, art from around the world, and basic drawing and painting techniques.  Please contact the Museum School to create a class for your home-school group, 508.222.2644 x10.

Costs per student:  $95 member, $105 non-member (materials included).  Class will run for 6 weeks and can be scheduled at a convenient time for participants.  A minimum number of students is required.
