Dear Friends:

I invite you to join a group of prestigious artists and collectors in supporting the Attleboro Arts Museum by donating to our 27th Benefit Art Auction.  The Auction, to be held on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018, is regarded as a powerful opportunity to contribute to a vital cultural resource and for you and your artwork to gain valuable exposure.

We are asking for donations of framed or gallery-finished original art, and handmade gifts, crafts and objects created for the home from artists or collectors – as well as special items such as access to vacation homes or tickets to popular shows or attractions. All donations should be delivered to the Museum between Sept. 4th – 22nd. Collection hours are Tues – Sat, 10am – 4pm.

Each donor of up to two items will receive:

  • A one-year Museum Artist or Individual Membership ($35 value)
  • One $35 Auction ticket (includes hors d’oeuvres & wine/beer)
  • Revenue sharing up to 20% on the sale of items valued at $300 or more
  • Marketing exposure on the Web
  • An artist biography included in our full-color keepsake Auction catalog

The first 200 donations received will be on display in our gallery as part of our Spotlight Preview Exhibition, opening on Thursday, October 11th with a reception at 6pm. These donations will also appear in our companion online Auction.

From October 11th – 31st we will launch the online version of our Benefit Auction  at The online Auction kicks off the bidding in advance of the live/silent event and will also promote any donations beyond the first 200 received.

The live/silent Auction event will be held on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018.

We encourage donors to contribute artwork that best represents their current style and standard, as our online Auction and your artist profile reaches a broad audience of collectors and buyers.

Feel free to contact the Museum at 508-222-2644 x13 or with any questions.  Please accept my sincere thanks in advance for your support, generosity and much appreciated partnership.  We are grateful for your participation and look forward to receiving your donation(s)!

Warm regards,

Mim Fawcett, Executive Director & Chief Curator

P.S. We are sincerely grateful for the impressive donations in 2017.  Please honor us with your fine work and keep the standard of this year’s Auction just as strong.
